This is my final product of the movie poster graphic design project. This project helped me learn more about Photoshop and the tutorials given to us helped as well. I enjoyed doing this project because it was something that was kind of challenging but at the same time it was fun. Challenges I had while doing this project was being able to change the characteristics of the main character. For example her hair color, the hair color before was blonde and because the background I had before was yellow the hair blended in with the background. To solve that problem I changed her hair color to black. Another problem I faced was to be able to lasso the eyes and the lips, because they were too small, I had to zoom in to be able to lasso it. Overall I enjoyed creating this project and hope to get better using Photoshop to continue doing projects like this one.
Shoe Project
For the shoe project, we used Photoshop to create an advertisement for a shoe of our choice. We customized our shoe into something we would like and something the audience we are trying to attract would like too. We were given many tutorials to use to make our shoe unique and catch people's attention. The tutorials were very helpful, but you can also experiment different tools on Photoshop that you didn't know about before.
The challenges I overcame was the canvas size. When I first started the project my canvas was horizontal, which would mess up the advertisement having a "Z" shape, so I had to change the size of the canvas and change it to a vertical canvas. Another issue was trying to make the advertisement have a "Z" shape effect, I tried to make the advertisement something that will catch people's eye and that would be easy to read.
I was an effective communicator because I spoke to my classmates to get their opinions on my project and also I asked for help when I was stuck. I was technologically literate by using the tutorials online that were given to us and applying them to the shoe project and I was a problem solver by solving the problem I had with the canvas size.
